Course Information

Overview

A great starting course for the child with no previous (or limited) experience in Coding. If they have never coded before, never used Scratch then this is the course for them.

Comprising of 4 Levels, each level takes 6 weeks (or 2 full days ) and builds on the skills developed in the previous level. Have your child complete just the one level or go on to become a master this course by completing all 4. For more information about this course and what each level comprises of, please see below.

Levels

(Note: If you dont know what level to enrol your child start them in Level 1. We will assess them once they start and move them to the level that most suits their abilities)

Level 1
Introducing the basic concepts of coding in a fun and easy to learn format. This course will have them making animations, generating music and creating multiple games.

Level 2
This level is for those who have done some coding before and have an understanding of Scratch basics. This course will help develop a deeper understanding of Coding by building on their previous knowledge. Here we dive in to more complex programs and make more detailed games.

Level 3
This level is for those who have a good understanding of Scratch and have completed the previous 2 levels of this course. We build on the skills they have developed so far and extend them even further by incorporating elaborate animations, complex game design structures and introducing AI features.

Level 4
The final of the Introduction to Coding levels, here they have the opportunity to apply what they have learnt through the creation of individually conceived games and programs. A great way in which to wrap up and display what they have learnt throughout this course.
