Course Information


Whether it is to learn how to edit you own home videos or plan, shoot and edit your own short films this course will teach you the skills to get started. We cover topics from how to add special effects to story boards and lighting as you go through and create your own movies to share with family and friends.

Introduction to Movie Making (Level 1)
This course is designed for the budding film maker where no experience is neccessary. We focus on introducing filiming and editing techniques. Using everyday videoing devices they will learn the basics of filming, exporting footage, editing, inserting text and adding special effects.

Introduction to Movie Making (Level 2)
Building on concepts and knowledge gained in the “Introduction to Movie Making Level 1” course, your child will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the Movie Making. In this course they will continue developing their understanding through the use of more complex special effects, story boards, lighting, angles, etc, taking their Movies to the next level.

Introduction to Movie Making (Level 3)
The third part of the Introduction to Movie Making courses, here we build on the skills developed in the previous 2 parts. In this course they will take their Movie Making and special effect skills to the next level as they use what they have learnt to create a short film of their own design.


Suitable for ages 10+


This course requires no previous experience.

What to bring

Lunch (if attending the full day course), Snacks (no nuts please), and a drink. We provide all the computers.


We provide all the computers, equipment and software. Yet if your child does have a video device (this can even be a mobile/ipod, etc) they may choose to bring this along.


Holiday Courses:
2 Full Days
Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm

Term Courses:
6 Saturdays (1.5 hours per session)
Time: 11:30am – 1:00pm


By the successful completion of these courses you will be ready to design and build your own Web applications or move on to the next level of Web Design.
