SUMMARY:Intro to Mobile Games (Monday) - Term 3 2021 (Friends)
DESCRIPTION:6 Sessions: 3:45pm to 5:15pm\nLevels Available: Level 1\, Level 2\, Level 3\, Level 4\nNB: This course is open to any student. \nA course for the beginner Coder who wants to create games for others to play. If they have a passion to make games and have never coded before then this is the course for them.\nLevels Available: (Each level is a separate enrolment.) \n\n\nLevel 101\nIntroducing the basic concepts of making games through fun and easy to learn tasks. This course will have them creating their first game platformer style game with all the general features and multiple levels.\n\n\n\n\nLevel 102\nThrough the creation of a top down maze game\, this level will help them build on their previous knowledge as we dive in to more complex game designs. Learn about new game features\, more complex coding\, creating their own characters and more.\n\n\n\n\nLevel 103\nAs we create top down scrolling shooter style games we build on the skills they have developed so far and extend them even further by incorporating elaborate animations\, complex game design features and introduce simple AI features.\n\n\n\n\nLevel 104\nHere we take things further as we explore the world of RPG style games. Focusing on map creation and layout design\, this course will bring out the talented game designer in your child.\n\n\n\n\nLevel 105\nContinuing on with the game they started in Level 4\, here we add the extra parts to their game giving it a story-line. Focusing on game play we examine the story-line of the game and introduce the use of algorithms to assist with planning and designing their own RPG.\n\n\n\n\nLevel 106\nHere they have the opportunity to apply what they have learnt through the creation of their very own game. They will learn about the details of planning their very own game for mobile devices before going through and building it.
